Barcham uses containers to grow trees and not other materials. This seems like a small difference, but it can make plants grow differently in the long run. Plants need an outward radial root system that is thickened twice to make them easier to give roots to. Their trees are from the bare roots of their field units, then about 12 months later, they will be put in a container for sale. With this information in mind, shipments are the seller's embarrassment before expiration comes, but if all else fails, the true shelf life of their trees starts on day one- not when they ship.
